W.I.N.G.S. After-School and Enrichment Program

Aftercare is available every full school day until 5:30 p.m. When carpool ends at 3:15 p.m., Lower  and Middle School students are checked in to aftercare where they meet separately. The groups are offered a snack at 3:20 p.m. and have time to socialize, play, and complete homework. 

Cost:

• $8/hour, charged in 15-minute increments, and billed monthly.
• Late charges are incurred after 5:30 p.m. ($1/minute) and 6 p.m. ($5/minute). 

All enrichment clubs are led by Howard School teachers or other professionals who are familiar with our student population. We strive to offer a variety of clubs where students can explore their interests and have fun.

Clubs are offered for a separate fee and are billed once each term. Most clubs meet for one hour each week (3:15-4:15 p.m.) and last 6-10 weeks. Clubs are offered once in the first term from mid-September through December and twice in the second term from January through February and from March through May. 

Club offerings and the registration is emailed to parents/guardians in late August, early December, and mid-February.

Extended Aftercare days include Lower School Math Night, Middle School Dances, Middle School Poetry Slam, and Middle School Night of Celebration.

Billing

The business office will send a monthly invoice for W.I.N.G.S. Payments are due the first business day of the month for prior services rendered.

Note: A $25.00 late fee will be added if payment is not received by the 15th of each month. If we receive a NSF check, a $35.00 return check fee will be charged.

Hours

• Children should be picked up and signed out by 5:30 p.m.
• Late pick-ups after 5:30 p.m. will incur a $1 per minute charge until 6 pm.
• After 6 p.m., a $5 per minute charge will be applied to your account.
• After three late pick-ups occur in any given one-month period, a meeting will be scheduled to discuss appropriate action.

Note: Frequent late pick-ups may result in loss of participation in the W.I.N.G.S. Program.
