Academic Ignition at The Howard School is open to rising 10th, rising 11th and rising 12th graders, whether you are enrolled at The Howard School or not. Research consistently shows that students who engage in academic activities over the summer not only retain but often enhance their skills, setting a strong foundation for the upcoming school year. Academic Ignition is designed for students with executive function, math and/or language weakness.
For Non-Enrolled Howard Students: Thank you for your interest. Please ensure you read through this page entirely. As you are not currently enrolled at The Howard School, there are a few forms that must be completed.

Confidential Teacher Evaluation Form Required for Non-Howard Students
A Confidential Teacher Evaluation will need to be completed by your child's teacher/tutor before your child's registration is considered complete.
The Confidential Teacher Evaluation form and the online registration must be completed before attending. You can register for Academic Ignition even if we have not received your child's Confidential Teacher Evaluation form yet. The form is located below and must be sent from your child's teacher/tutor, not the parent. Forms need to be sent to Victoria Bondurant, CCC-SLP. Her email is located on the evaluation form.
Medical Forms Required for Non-Howard Students
A Medical Evaluation Form, a Medication Form and an Up-to-Date Immunization Certificate (Form 3231) will need to be completed before your child's registration is considered complete.

You can register for Academic Ignition even if we have not received your child's Medical Evaluation Form, Medication Form, and Up-to-Date Immunization Certificate (Form 3231) yet. The Medical Evaluation Form and Medication Form are located on the registration page. The Up-to-Date Immunization Certificate (Form 3231) must be sent directly to our School Nurse, Julie Teachout julie.teachout@howardschool.org.

Lunch (provided for students who are
registered for both Block B and Block C)

Registration
Students may register for one, two, or all three academic blocks in a given session. Each block in a 90-minute intensive, immersive experience in that topic. Lunch will be provided for students who are registered for Block B and Block C. To register, click the button below and select Academic Ignition.

Cancellations made before April 26 will receive a full refund. After this date, refunds will not be issued.
