In Film Studies, students gain a deep understanding of the visual and auditory language that is used by directors, actors, and crew members to create the artistic and dramatic elements of film.

Beginning Film Studies

In this course, students learn that the audience is an active participant in the film viewing experience as students investigate and analyze the techniques and origins of a wide variety of film and television productions.

Intermediate Film Studies

In Intermediate Film Studies, students learn the visual and auditory language to create the film experience as they continue to investigate and analyze techniques and origins of film and television productions, and as students assume the roles of director, actor, producer, and technician to focus on the production of products in video format.

Advanced Film Studies

Students gain mastery of how to both understand and express the language of film as they continue to investigate and analyze techniques and origins of film and television productions, and as students assume the roles of director, actor, producer, and technician to focus on the production of products in video format.
