Lower School students experience a full academic day: reading, language arts, writing, math, science, social studies, art, music, and PE, all taught through specialized, individualized methods. Where scheduling permits, core instruction is scheduled earlier in the day when students are most alert and ready to learn. The curriculum is rooted in national and state standards and designed specifically for the way our students think and learn.

Instruction is balanced to meet the different learning needs and profiles of our students, recognizing individual strengths and weaknesses. The arts, music, physical education, Habits of Mind, community service, and team-building opportunities are seamlessly woven into the fabric of the core academic subjects. Additionally, we offer typical tween and teen Middle School experiences, including field trips, overnight study trips, and dances.
