Ways to Give
Every gift matters...
Every gift to The Howard School makes an important difference. We are fortunate to have an amazing culture of philanthropy that places the needs of our students and teachers first! There are many ways to give here at Howard and each gift makes a lasting impact.
The Howard Fund
The Howard Fund is The Howard School’s most important yearly initiative that financially supports all aspects of our program schoolwide. Since tuition alone does not cover all yearly expenses, The Howard Fund helps ensure funding for the exceptional programs that make The Howard School a unique educational experience. Gifts to the Howard Fund make an immediate impact on the educational experience and represent an investment in the mission of the school. Click here to make a gift today!
Many companies offer programs that match donations to The Howard School made by their employees, directors, employee's spouses, or retirees. Please search here to see if your employer is on the match list. In most cases, you will need to send Howard matching gift paperwork. Please send this to the Advancement Office and include your name, address, and how you would like to credit your matching gift upon its arrival.
In Honor/In Memory
Honor a lost loved one, recognize someone special or commemorate a milestone by making a special gift in their name that will help support The Howard School.

Gifts of Stock
Appreciated securities that have been held for more than one year, such as stocks, are a popular asset to use when making a gift. Making a gift of securities offers you an opportunity to support The Howard School while often realizing important tax benefits for yourself. Prior to making a gift of stock or other appreciated securities, please contact The Howard School to inform them of your gift. For more detailed instructions for transferring stocks and securities click here.
Gifts from an IRA
Gifts from an IRA are a wonderful opportunity to give back! An IRA owned by an individual who is 70½ or older, may be eligible to a penalty free withdrawal that can be paid directly from the IRA to a qualified charity. IRA’s are a popular asset to use when making a gift to The Howard School—they enable you to fulfill required minimum distributions (RMD) and realize important tax benefits while supporting The Howard School.
The Endowment at The Howard School is a critical asset that supports the long-term mission of the school. Supporting this fund ensures that The Howard School education will continue to make an impact for generations to come. The Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees carefully manages these funds to meet current operational needs while protecting the gift for years to come. If you are considering making a gift to the Endowment, please contact The Howard School.
Planned Giving was established for those who have officially included The Howard School as a beneficiary in their estate plans.
