Financial Assistance 2024-2025

The Howard School understands that investing in your child's private school education is a significant financial commitment. Each year we provide over $700,000 in need-based tuition assistance from the school's financial aid funds and Georgia GOAL, to increase accessibility to a Howard School education. The Financial Aid Committee awards need-based financial aid to as many new and returning families as possible, and therefore full scholarships are not available.

Financial Aid Steps

  1. Complete the online Howard School Financial Aid Request Form 2025/26. This is the only financial aid paperwork sent directly to The Howard School.

  2. Beginning September 15, 2024, the 2025/26 financial aid application will be open. Register, complete, and provide financial information with FACTS Grant & Aid. This process should be completed by December 15, 2024.
  3. The Howard School reserves the right to request additional financial information from financial aid applicants at any time.

It is the responsibility of the applicant(s) to track the financial aid application from start to finish. Unfortunately, applicants who fail to provide the required information, do not follow the guidelines, or miss the December 15, 2024 deadline may not be considered for assistance, depending on the availability of funds.

The Howard School utilizes FACTS Grant & Aid as a trusted third party to help us objectively assess how much a family can reasonably contribute to an independent school education. The financial aid committee will also take into account unexpected family financial situations, the needs of our entire applicant pool, and the availability of funds.

To be considered for financial assistance for the 2025/26 school year, submission of all financial aid documents from all custodial, non-custodial, and step-parents (including uploaded 2023 Federal Tax Returns, all supporting schedules and forms, and W-2’s or 1099’s) SHOULD BE COMPLETED NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 15, 2024. AVAILABLE FUNDS ARE LIMITED AFTER THIS DEADLINE HAS PASSED. Since financial aid is granted to students on the basis of need and availability of funds, awards are granted for one year at a time and must be applied for annually.

All financial aid decisions are made based on financial need without regard to student's race, color, religion, ethnicity, or national origin. The Howard School relies on the truthfulness of the information provided in each application, and families who apply acknowledge their continuing obligation to notify the school if financial circumstances improve.

Tuition information for the 2025/26 school year will be available end of January 2025. Our Business Office is available to help you find the right payment program and payment schedules to accommodate your budget. In order to be considered for financial aid for the 2025/26 school year, please complete the application process by December 15, 2024.

The Howard School offers rolling admissions. Accordingly, the 2025/26 financial aid application will remain open for new families who apply for admission after the financial aid deadline.
