Apply
- Click the link to the online application that you received during your campus tour.
- The Howard School uses the FACTS online management system for admissions, enrollment, and financial aid.
- Prior to beginning the application, we encourage you to share your child’s psycho-educational evaluation with our Director of Enrollment Management. Reviewing these materials allows us to better determine whether we can provide the curriculum and staffing model that your child needs and deserves to thrive. IEPs and 504s are also welcome, but not required.
Please note: Standard admissions testing such as the JATP, SSAT or ISEE is not required.
Application Fee: $75, non-refundable, due with application
After your online application has been completed and all supporting documentation has been received:
- Our Director of Enrollment Management will read the completed application file and may reach out to professionals who work with your child, including psychologists, teachers, tutors, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, principals, etc.
- Our Admissions Office will call the parent/guardian to discuss the next steps. This may include a “shadow day,” which allows your child to experience a typical Howard day, and gives our teachers an opportunity to better understand your child’s needs.
- The Admissions Committee will meet to determine whether The Howard School is the best school to meet your child’s needs.
- The Admissions Office will contact the parent/guardian, typically within 1 week, to offer placement or refer them to another school(s).
