The anniversary party is not until Sunday, but one Lower School class started the celebration today. After spotting the date on the calendar, Ms. Lopp’s students took the initiative to throw the school its very own birthday party.

The class created birthday crowns and cards, using the activity to practice the writing and sentence structure skills they have been mastering in the classroom. Together, the students surprised Head of School Dr. Anna B. Moore with a handmade banner of cards sharing all the reasons they love Howard.

Ms. Lopp says she is proud of her students' initiative and their genuine passion for The Howard School.

“As their teacher, I was proud to see them care and take such pride in their school,” said Ms. Lopp, Lead Teacher. “It was wonderful to see them take the initiative to celebrate this significant milestone in such a thoughtful way.”
