As an extension of The Howard School, the After-School Program is designed to continue to make learning meaningful, and therefore, maximize student success in all areas. Through a variety of extra curricular activities and enrichment programs, the After-School Program provides students with an opportunity to have constructive learning experiences in education, social recreation, health & fitness activities, and artistic creativity, all with guidance from professionally trained staff.
Tuition Rates – The daily cost for participation in the After School Program is $14. Students taking part in after-school activities such as enrichment classes, tutoring, athletics, etc. will be billed at a rate of $7 per day. The rate for “drop in” students (who are not enrolled in the After School Program) is $20.00 per day.
Late Pick Up – Children need to be picked up and signed out from the After School Program by 5:30 p.m. If your child is picked up after 5:30 p.m., a $1.00 per minute charge will be applied to your account until 6:00 p.m. After 6:00 p.m., a $5.00 per minute charge will be applied to your account. After three late pick-ups occur in any given one-month period, a meeting will be scheduled to discuss appropriate action. Frequent late pick-ups may result in loss of participation in the After School Program.
Payment – The business office will send a monthly invoice for After School Program billing. Payments are due the first business day for the month for prior services rendered. A $25.00 late fee will be added if payment is not received by the 15th of each month. If we receive a NSF check, a $35.00 return check fee will be charged.
Withdrawal – You may with draw from the after school program at any time through written communication to the After School Program Director. Failure to properly withdraw may result in additional tuition charges.
